Oh so the Staffordshire Terrier are American Pit Bull Terrier with some small differenses (not on the image) but on the attitude?they are less aggressive etc??? thx for ur reply help

  4. blastermitch says:

Pit Bull refers to the American Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Amstaff.

Amstaffs were bred from American Pit Bull Terriers. They’re basically the same dog but conforming to a standard and they have tried to breed the aggressiveness out.

In the USA you can register an Amstaff as a American Pit Bull Terrier, but not the other way round.

Thats not the absolute truth. They were taken along with industrial working class from england, ireland and scotland after the civil war in america. they exually took the bulls and terriers they had with them and mixed it up till they got the new breed they wanted. and that is the american staffordshire terrier

  13. alion06 says:

  18. packleader38 says:

  19. topbluffa1 says:

i know the diffrence thank you very much….and the american version comes from the english versin “like all (american) dogs” they tweek them abit then call them there own like.
    “american bulldogs”
which r just basicy old english bulldogs.
anyway give some props to England and stop pretending all these dogs are american.

  20. blackreignproject says:

if you would google the dogs and comparison : Saffs vs AmStaff and you will quickly notice the difference. Size, headshape, …

you know the old saying….It Bigger in America!

  21. topbluffa1 says:

where is staffordshire in america….. whats that threre is none?… stafforshire is place in England like everyhing Englad makes original Bulldog, football etc they ave to make a American versiion “amrican buldog, american football”.”
tryig to pretend things r urs by tweaking them every so slightly./

  22. Cesarizmo says:

He looks like mine =) Love amstaff.

  23. tonightwefly says:

Yea I thought my staff was trying to pick fights with other dogs but if you let them meet its more about having a sniff and saying hello, they are very friendly inquisitive, very nosey hehe

  24. tonightwefly says:

hehehehehe your completly right its just the bad owners hanging out on street corners drinking cans of beer with their staffs trying to untimidate people. My staff is a lovely dog, hes so full of life and as like yours a BIG softie!! hehe

  25. MsEudora says:

Aggressive training is more likely to result in an aggressive dog. Study up on positive reinforcement training before you get ANY dog. We have two Amstaffs in the family (not same as pit bull). No beating necessary. Ever.
